We met with the District today for our final meeting of the regular academic year. Never fear, the negotiations team works year round, including over holiday breaks and summer. We will be meeting with the District several times this summer to (hopefully) finish the 2022-2025 CBA and work on class caps. At today’s meeting, we were able to sign an MOU that approves a pay raise for our ECELS part-time teachers. This new pay scale will be included in the 2022-25 CBA under Appendix L. Discussion items at today’s meeting included the World Languages Lab Coordinator summer stipend, CALM compensation, updates on progress on Article 15- Compensation (District) and Article 20- Working Conditions (PFF), non-credit/grant compensation, clarification on the Reduction in Force (RIF) process, and summer scheduling for negotiations. The District expects to bring their counter to our compensation proposal after the June board meeting. We hope everyone enjoys their summer and look forward to reporting good news soon!
