Discussion Items
ISA Updates: The District gave us updates on the status of open ISA positions.
Mandated Training for Part-time Faculty: PFF asked about compensation for faculty who are not currently teaching. The District clarified that faculty would still be compensated to complete these trainings though they aren’t required until the faculty member has an assignment.
Paystub and Identity Theft Protections: PFF raised concerns about identity protection following recent payroll errors. The District is working to address these issues and will provide communication about credit monitoring options.
Dues Collection Errors: PFF reminded the District of additional payroll errors that have resulted in missed dues collection. The District reiterated that they are committed to addressing these issues.
Academic Calendar Update: The District acknowledged the need for negotiation on calendar issues as soon as possible to avoid similar situations in the future. The District committed to bringing correct calendars to negotiate.
Benefits - Given the current situation with Anthem potentially being dropped by providers, the District assured us they are monitoring the situation and will explore alternative plans through CSIC.
